Terrifying Titan: Ocean Gate Submarine Vanishes During Titanic Tour
An Ocean Gate submarine departed from Newfoundland, Canada on June 18th, when it disappeared during an exploration tour to the Titanic wreck. Five passengers were onboard when the submarine named Titan lost communication about 3,000 feet from the surface.
Despite extensive search and rescue efforts, no signs of the missing submarine or its occupants have been found.
Two experienced professionals and three adventurous passengers were on board the submarine when all communication was lost an hour and 45 minutes after departure. The submarine was set to dive about 13,000 feet deep, the depth at which the Titanic sits.
The incident raises questions about the cause of the disappearance and the fate of those on board. Investigators are diligently working to locate the vessel.
Hopeful Thinking: On June 20th, banging sounds were picked up using sonar technology. It has been reported that these banging sounds were detected in 30-minute intervals, suggesting that there was human intention behind the banging.
Banging on the hull is a way for the submarine crew to alert others to their presence and indicate that they are in need of rescue or communication. It serves as an emergency signal to attract attention and increase the chances of being located.
Though many experts have their doubts about the safety of these five passengers, other experts note their belief in miracles. It is best that in these times, we do not underestimate the power of hope.
The global community shows support and solidarity for the families involved, sharing messages of hope and prayers for the safe return of the missing individuas.
